01
Why are you not selling produce right now?
The season for summer produce is not here, yet. People are readying their gardens for spring plants. We took a break during the pandemic years and are just now getting back into the swing of things. We should have some produce this summer.
02
Why are the organic versions more expensive?
Organic foods are foods that are grown without chemicals and the like...the way they were grown by our grandparents and great-grandparents. Well, because it is cheaper now-a-days to use chemicals instead of growing things the way nature intended, organic products are more expensive to produce.
03
Why do I have to make more than one selection to customize my order?
Customization is the main thing that makes McKinzie's Urban Farms different from any other food provider. The best way to make sure that your desired product is produced correctly is to allow you to select a base product and then add additonal items that will make your order unique.
04
Are all of your products local?
No, I do make an effort to buy from local suppliers, but sometimes it just isn't possible. If you have your own garden and would like to find out how to become a supplier, email me!
05
I only see Tennessee as an option for shipping. What gives?
Perhaps in the future McKinzie's Urban Farms will be able to service a much wider area, but at the moment we are focusing only on the Tennessee area so that the products can be shipped as quickly as possible without inflated shipping costs. Items can be shipped to areas within Tennessee within two days using Priority Mail without the shipping fees being too expensive.
06
I live in Memphis. Is there another option instead of shipping? *updated*
At the moment, the online purchasing program provided by this website does not allow for you not to select shipping when you are purchasing a product. Everything is sent Priority Mail to make sure that your order gets to you as soon as possible. Whether the package travels inside or outside of the city, the shipping charge is under $6.00 and costs more the further it travels. Inside of the city and to Jackson, TN, Priority Mail basically acts as next day mail. Also, don't forget that the shipping charge is for the "entire box" contents and not for each individual item. About four items can fit safely and securely within a box. You can always email me if you have a concern or question.
